Secretary’s Report     Jefferson, OH  September 19, 2009  8:45 AM

 

The meeting was called to order by President, Kent Copeland.  After a prayer by Ken Schlacht and the pledge of allegiance, by Kent Copeland, first timers Gene and Judy Sharp were officially welcomed. They had attended Bowling Green but this was their first Nomad Rally.  Carla Mitchell was introduced as a guest of the Cassidys. Regional VP of GLAMA (Great Lakes Area Motorhome Association), Dave Bauer and his wife Doris were also introduced.  Hearing no corrections or additions the minutes of the last meeting, as published in the newsletter, stand approved.  In the absence of the treasurer, Marilyn Howard, the treasurer’s report was read by Mary Alice Gast.  It was submitted for audit and will be printed in the next newsletter.

 

Old Business: Kent Copeland thanked Bill Nesbitt for all his work getting the roster ready and distributing it.

 

Officer reports:

President Copeland thanked everyone for their effort at Bowling Green and Jim Schenck thanked Kent and Nancy Copeland for a tremendous job at Bowling Green.

Vice president, Tom Wolf asked for volunteers to host rallies for next year.  Bill Nesbitt inquired about interest in planning a rally in Branson for next October.  Bev Nesbitt reminded everyone that help is available for rallies and you can pretty much do your thing when it comes to hosting one.

Dave Bauer reported as a National Director about the status of FMCA. Areas of concern: membership, loss of revenues from the magazine, and investments. They kept MedX, investments are improving and still pending a vote, the dues are to be raised by $5 and used for member benefits.

Sheriff report: Waneta Manos collected $9 at this rally.

 

Rallymaster report: Carol Toohig reported 22 coaches and thanked Goodrichs, Schlachts, and Wolfs who helped as well as all the others who helped her.  She was congratulated on a very successful rally.

 

Members under the weather: Mary Alice Gast had cards for members to sign for the following people: Harold Rumbaugh, Dave and Anna Mae Luettke, Bob Yauch, Dale Strauss, Jack Peak, and Dolly Lantz. Anyone knowing of people who need cards sent should contact Mary Alice Gast by phone or email and she will take care of this.

 

New Business: Kent Copeland thanked Ben Driver for providing sausage gravy and toast for breakfast Saturday morning.

Announcements: The next rally will be October 1-4 in Fremont, OH.

 

A motion to adjourn was made by Bill Nesbitt and seconded by Ray Goodrich.  Motion carried.  The meeting was adjourned at 9:15PM
