September 2007 - A Word From Our President

     As we approach the end of this camping season it is imperative that we begin to fill next year’s schedule.  Currently we only have a rally scheduled for
late April or early May.  All other months are open yet.  Please begin planning now and send an email to me when you have decided so Jim can add them
to the upcoming events column.

     The July 2009 convention has been moved to Bowling Green, Ohio due to unacceptable contract changes at the former venue.  Since it will be in
Ohio, the Great Lakes Area will be the hosts.  Approximately 700 volunteers will be needed.  Begin thinking about what you would like for our chapter to
volunteer to do.  We will be discussing it in the next few rallies.

     There will be a special election in October to elect a new secretary and treasurer due to the fact that Butch and Debbie will be gone all next camping
season to Alaska (lucky ducks).  I will be appointing a nominating committee at the September rally.  Hope to see lots of you at the fish fry in Port Clinton in a couple of weeks.
